Bloomsbury Residences is developed by Media Circle Development Pte Ltd, holder of housing developer’s licence C1511, a joint venture led by Qingjian Realty (South Pacific) Group with Forsea Holdings.
The Companies Behind Bloomsbury Residences
Qingjian Realty (South Pacific) Group is the regional headquarters in Southeast Asia of the Qingjian Group’s real estate arm, developing residential, commercial and industrial property. Its briefing to agents counts 17 projects and more than 9,500 homes launched in Singapore. Recently completed homes include the 1,206-unit JadeScape on the former Shunfu Ville site, the 633-unit freehold Forett @ Bukit Timah and the 516-unit Le Quest in Bukit Batok; projects under way include The Arden on Phoenix Road and the executive condominiums Altura and Tenet. Its brochure notes that it launched The Visionaire, an executive condominium with smart-home technology throughout, and that it has received BCI Asia Top Ten awards, Asia Property Awards and BCA awards.
Forsea Holdings Pte Ltd is a subsidiary of China Communications Construction Company, which the briefing ranks 63rd in the 2024 Fortune Global 500; in Singapore its parent group’s projects include rail and airport works. Forsea is also the main contractor for Bloomsbury Residences.

Bloomsbury Residences Design Team
ADDP Architects is the architect of Bloomsbury Residences. The brochure describes a design that borrows from the black-and-white houses across Portsdown Road: deep eaves, white frames and dark accents, open pavilions on the deck, and a lobby with a ceiling of 8 metres that frames the garden as residents arrive.
Ecoplan Asia’s landscape lays the facilities out as a series of rooms on the deck, the Reception, the Club, the Boutique and the Commons, and Index Design’s interiors pair natural stone and timber with what the brochure calls a modernised take on colonial design. Engineers Alliance are the civil and structural engineers and United Project Consultants the mechanical and electrical engineers.
The Site of Bloomsbury Residences
The Media Circle site was offered by the Urban Redevelopment Authority under the Government Land Sales programme. The tender closed on 18 January 2024, and the authority announced its award in February 2024 to CNQC Realty (Clementi) Pte Ltd and Forsea Residence Pte Ltd. The 99-year lease of the land began on 7 May 2024, and the developer’s brochure records the land as Lot 5713P of Mukim 3.
The project details page lists every confirmed particular of Bloomsbury Residences, and the latest updates record each step since.
