The developer’s location map gives the trip as a four-minute cycle and its brochure as a three-minute drive to Fusionopolis and the station; EdgeProp’s launch report noted that the development is not right beside a station. The station sits beneath Fusionopolis and Galaxis, so the walk ends among shops and a supermarket.

From one-north, the Circle Line runs one stop north to the Buona Vista interchange for the East-West Line, then on through Holland Village and Botanic Gardens; southwards it runs through Kent Ridge, Haw Par Villa and Labrador Park to HarbourFront, six stops away by the developer’s count, for Sentosa and the North East Line.

Queenstown, Kent Ridge and Buona Vista near Bloomsbury Residences

Queenstown station (EW19) on the East-West Line is about 1.2 kilometres east of the site along Portsdown Avenue and Queensway, with direct trains to Redhill, Tiong Bahru, Outram Park and the city. Kent Ridge station (CC24), also about 1.2 kilometres away, serves the National University Hospital and the university campus, and Buona Vista, where the Circle and East-West Lines meet, is about 1.5 kilometres away beside The Star Vista and Rochester Mall.

Roads from Bloomsbury Residences

The Ayer Rajah Expressway runs just south of Portsdown Avenue, a two-minute drive by the developer’s brochure, and the Central Expressway about six minutes. The brochure gives drive times of about nine minutes to Holland Village and Dempsey Hill, ten to the Tanjong Pagar district, eleven to Orchard Road, twelve to Resorts World Sentosa and fourteen to Marina Bay Financial Centre, all within the fifteen minutes it quotes for key destinations.

Cycling and the Rail Corridor from Bloomsbury Residences

The Rail Corridor, the 24-kilometre route along the former railway line, runs past the Wessex estate, and the developer’s brochure puts its Wessex access seven minutes’ walk away. It is a car-free path north towards Buona Vista and Bukit Timah and south towards the city, and the development provides bicycle parking and a bicycle service station on its grounds.
